Ingredients
3LargeGreen Tomatoes
1 1/2cupsAll purpose flour
1/2tspsalt
1/2tspblack pepper
1/4tspgarlic powder
1/4tsponion powder
1/4tsporegano leavesdried
1/4tspsmoked paprika
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine flour and spices
Slice tomatoes 1/4 inch thickness
Dredge the tomato slices into the seasoned flour mixture until coated shaking off the excess flour
Place on a cookie sheet pan and let sit for five minutes letting the tomatoes absorb the flour
Heat the oil in a shallow frying pan with the oil about an inch deep
Once the oil is shimmering, dredge the tomatoes again in the flour and add to the pan, being careful not to crowd the tomatoes, reducing the heat if necessary
Cook about three minutes on each side until theyare brown and crispy
Remove from heat and place on a plate lined with paper towels
